Ritual
Ritual to Release Ancestral Guilt
🌀Introduction
There are griefs we inherited before we ever cried. There are burdens in the blood — passed down like heirlooms wrapped in silence.
This ritual is for the ones who carry ancestral guilt:
- Guilt from surviving
- Guilt from speaking
- Guilt from not doing enough
- Guilt that doesn’t even have a story — just a weight
If you’ve felt heaviness that never seemed to start with you… You’re right. It didn’t.
And it can be returned.
🔮What You Will Need
- A bowl of water
- A small stone (any kind)
- One white candle
- A pinch of salt or ancestral powder
- Your voice
🔥The Ritual
1. Light the Candle.
Sit quietly with the flame. Place the bowl of water in front of you, and the stone in your palm.
2. Speak This Out Loud:
“I carry what is not mine.
I hold what was passed down in silence.
But I now return it to the waters.
With love. With honor. With truth.”
3. Drop the Stone into the Water.
Let it sink completely. Watch as it disappears. This is the symbol of release.
4. Sprinkle the Salt or Powder.
Let it cleanse what still lingers. Stir the water clockwise three times with your finger.
5. Close with This Phrase:
“I release the guilt that is not my own.
I keep the wisdom. I return the wound.
The healing moves forward.
And the shame goes no further.”
Let the candle burn for at least 9 minutes. Pour the water into the earth when complete.
🗝️Spiritual Note
Releasing ancestral guilt doesn’t dishonor your lineage — it frees it. This ritual clears the stagnation in your blood and allows your true legacy to rise.
If you feel called, repeat this ritual on the dark moon or after receiving ancestral dreams.
